Glazed Bacon Rollups

Glazed Bacon Rollups

Ingredients:
No-Stick Cooking Spray
1/4 cup  Grape Jelly
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
12 slices precooked bacon
1 can original breadsticks
2 tbsp sliced green onion tops

Directions:
Heat oven to 375°. Lightly spray 12 muffin cups and top of pan with no-stick cooking spray.
In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, stir jelly, brown sugar and mustard until well blended. Microwave on High 1 minute. Stir until smooth. Microwave 15 seconds longer or until syrupy. Pour into shallow microwavable dish. Unroll dough; carefully separate into breadsticks. Press breadsticks to length of bacon slices. For each rollup, dip 1 bacon slice in syrup mixture, turning to coat both sides; shake off excess. Place on breadstick. Starting at one short end, roll up; place in muffin cup, flat side up. Repeat with remaining breadsticks and bacon slices. If syrup mixture thickens, microwave on High 10 seconds; stir. Bake 10 to 13 minutes or until rollups are puffed and light golden brown. Invert muffin pan onto heatproof platter, allowing syrup to drip down sides of rollups. Sprinkle with sliced green onions. Serve warm.

2 Corinthians 4:6

There are times when it seems that the light of God’s face is dimmed because of our difficulty, sorrow, or loss. Yet, even in these dark shadows, we can see evidence of His presence with us.

If we walk in filtered light today, may we discover anew that God’s light—Jesus—is always shining in our hearts.

It is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts.

1 Corinthians 9:24

Everyone has set a personal goal for themselves at one time or another.

Having goals in life can give us the purpose and drive to accomplish something truly valuable. This principle is especially helpful in our lives as believers in Christ. As we run the Christian race, our goal is to win an imperishable crown, an eternal reward from our Savior. This requires personal discipline, hard work, and continual improvement. But running that way is worth it, for the prize will last forever.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 1 Corinthians 9:24

Psalm 141:8

Have you ever tried to look at something through a cracked piece of glass? Everything appears skewed and distorted.

In life, pain often functions like cracked glass. It creates within us a conflict between what we experience and what we believe. Pain can give us a badly distorted perspective on life and on God. In those times, we need our God to provide us with a new pane of glass to help us see clearly again. That clarity of sight usually begins when we turn our eyes upon the Lord. He will help us to see everything clearly again.

My eyes are upon You, O God the Lord; in You I take refuge; do not leave my soul destitute.
Psalm 141:8

Psalm 73:25

When children fall down and bump there head they usually run straight to Mom. As adults as we are surrounded by the confusing and troubling circumstances of life, who do we run to? It seems useless to look elsewhere for something that God alone can give. By faith, throw your arms around Him. Where else would you go?

Whom have I in heaven but You? Psalm 73:25

2 Peter 3:14

During these days of horrific world events, we should be appalled but not taken by surprise. Jesus forewarned us of terrible times to come. Many wonder why Christ doesn’t come back and change things now. Instead He delays His return to give people everywhere more time to repent. Eventually the day of the Lord will come but until then
we must live consistent, holy lives, resist evil influences , and grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ. Then, instead of despairing over evil, we will be able to share the good news of Jesus with the world.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:14
