Everyone has set a personal goal for themselves at one time or another.
Having goals in life can give us the purpose and drive to accomplish something truly valuable. This principle is especially helpful in our lives as believers in Christ. As we run the Christian race, our goal is to win an imperishable crown, an eternal reward from our Savior. This requires personal discipline, hard work, and continual improvement. But running that way is worth it, for the prize will last forever.
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 1 Corinthians 9:24
