1 John 2:16

Sometimes we experience spiritual setbacks because we are guilty of wrong thinking. We get caught up in worldly pride and self-centeredness. When this happens, we have some important spiritual work to do. We must repent, confessing our pride to God and asking for His forgiveness.\

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. -1 John 2:16
